MARIGOT/PHILIPSBURG – He was wanted in connection with murder on the Dutch side; however, his luck ran out, when he was captured by the authorities on the French side.
The suspect with initial W.J.A, who was wanted in relations with the slaying of an individual in Simpson Bay at the weekend, has been captured. The sad and unfortunate incident took place in the vicinity of a well known super market Sunday afternoon, when the suspect shot the victim and stole his motor bike.
After committing the cowardly act, the suspect went into hiding on the northern side of the island, where he was captured Friday morning.
Following the fatal shooting, the police released images of the suspect, which was widely circulated on Social Media. This was done, in an effort for the suspect’s swift apprehension in the senseless killing.
In a brief statement, the interim Police spokesman, Inspector Josepha said: We would like to thank the public for their input in this investigation. The Police Spokesman also thanked the Special Robbery Unit for their work in solving this case.
