BONAIRE – Minister Raymond Knops of Interior and Kingdom Relations will visit the Leeward Islands from January 12th till January 16 t . It is a regular working visit, during which he will visit the three islands.
The tour starts with a visit to Aruba. In addition to meetings with the Governor and the Prime Minister, he will be informed about the historic preservation and the work of the Fundacion pa Hende Muhe den Difficultad (save haven for vulnerable women) and the Instituto Medical San Nicolas (new medical
center).
On the second day he will visit Bonaire. Meetings are scheduled with the executive council and the island council. The Minister will also be present at the transfer of the first house of a series of five hundred social houses.
Wednesday and Thursday he visits Curaçao, in addition to discussions with the Governor and the Prime Minister, the visit is dedicated to the Judicial Four Party Consultation (JVO). During these consultations the Ministers of Justice of The Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten discuss various topics in the field of safety for both the Windward and the Leeward Islands.
