A combination of Saharan dust and volcanic ash will continue affecting visibility and air quality today. By tonight, the concentration of ash will drop after which suspended dust particles will once again be prominent. Persons with allergies and/or respiratory illnesses should take the necessary precautions.
Subsequently, an approaching surface trough will increase the chances for showers across the local area by this afternoon.
Seas are expected to peak at 7 feet during the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
