Moisture at the lower level of the atmosphere along with instability of a mid- to upper-level trough will cause cloudy skies and scattered showers across the local area. Some of these showers could be heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the Atlantic high pressure system will continue to generate brisk winds and above-normal seas throughout the forecast period. Users of low-lying and flood-prone areas should proceed with caution as street-flooding may be possible.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise extreme caution as seas will peak near 9 feet.
