SPECIAL FEATURE: At 5:00 am, the center of Tropical Storm Josephine was located about 166 miles north-northwest of St. Maarten and moving toward west-northwest (away from St. Maarten) near 15 mph. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 40 mph and the system is expected to become a remnant or dissipate by Monday.
Josephine poses no direct threat to St. Maarten.
A fast-moving tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands is producing a small area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
