THE HAGUE – Undersecretary Raymond Knops (Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations) will pay a working visit to Curaçao and Bonaire from 31 August to 3 September.
On Bonaire, the Undersecretary is received by Island Lieutenant-Governor Edison Rijna and he has talks with the members of the Executive Council and the Island Council, program manager of the administrative agreement Danny Rojer and young professionals. He will also visit the Food Bank and speak with representatives of the business community and the Chamber of Commerce in the context of corona aid. A visit to Fundashon Mariadal and Stinapa are also on the program.
In Curaçao, the Undersecretary is received by the representative of the Netherlands, Erwin Arkenbout. Talks are planned with Governor Mrs. Lucille George-Wout and Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath. The Undersecretary will visit the Red Cross and partner organizations in the context of Dutch corona aid. In addition, various neighborhoods are visited, where he will speak with volunteers from NGOs and community centers. A meeting with stakeholders, business and civil society about the recovery of the economy and governance is also on the agenda.
