PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Are members of the coalition government moving towards dismissing or make changes to the Council of Ministers?
According to reports reaching our news department on Tuesday afternoon, the members of the coalition are requesting that two of the Ministers step down or face with a motion of no confidence.
According to our source, the two Ministers requested to tender their resignations are the Minister of Justice, the Honorable Cornelius de Weever and the Minister of VROMI, the Honorable Miklos Gitterson, who have been asked to tender their resignation as early as this week or face the consequences.
It is not clear as to what led to the coalition requesting that the Ministers step down, however, according to the source, seemingly, members of the UD/SMCP coalition are not too please with the way the two Ministers have been executing their tasks.
They also take into consideration the recent guilty verdict of Minister Giterson in his DUI case. We will bring you more details as the information is made available to us.
