PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – On November 1st , 2019, the FAVE school board treated and entertained their entire staff from both campuses with a hearty meal and live performances at the St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E. The president of the board, Mr. Roland Duncan and board member, Mr. Elroy Hughes were in attendance at the event.
The teachers were treated to a comedy performance by local comedian, Mr. Fernando Clark, who had them falling to their knees in laughter. The school was decorated and everyone was in a jolly and festive mood. Mr. Hughes thanked the teachers for their hard and dedicated work and expressed gratitude for the efforts.
This was a beautiful and new beginning for the institution as many teachers were happy with the acts of appreciation that they received from the board. After the hearty meal and drinks, the teachers spent the remaining time partaking in the karaoke performances.
In addition to that, Tyler Percival, a student of St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E also performed a medley of songs on the steel pans for the teachers to enjoy on this special day.
