PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E is proud to announce that we will be hosting our “Open House” on November 7th , 2019 from 8:00am to 12:00pm at our Ebenezer campus. The school has been busy for the past couple of months improving their image and creating a more student centered environment where students can focus on developing their vocational skills and academic performance.
The objective of our Open House is to highlight the Vocational Business Campus core subjects and curriculum to the 6th graders, their parents and the general public. In addition, teachers and students from the various departments will have the opportunity to showcase and promote their department by way of student’s experiments, exhibitions and presentations. It is important to know that the sector program offered at St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E is Economy with specialization in “Administration and Commerce.” The two streams available are: Praktische Basisgerichte Leerweg (PBL) and Praktische Kadergerichte Leerweg (PKL) – Practical Basic Level (PBL) and Practical (PKL).
On that day, the various exam students from the primary schools will spend the entire school day on our campus experiencing firsthand what it is like to attend classes here. During this time the students will follow a regular class schedule, while being introduced to the various subjects that the school has to offer. This will help students make an informative decision as to where they would like to experience their secondary level education.
Although most schools have conducted their Open House by giving the students a small tour of their facilities, St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E. has decided to do it a little different this year. The school has co-partnered with key businesses on the island to make this Open House experience worthwhile for the students and their parents. In addition, seeing that internship is a key component in our program, it was only fitting to invite those same businesses to be part of this event. The majority of students who perform well during their internship program usually get hired by these same companies.
We at St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E. are confident that you will be pleased on November 7th, 2019 during our Open House. Therefore, we are hereby sending a special invitation to the parents to come in between the hours of 8:00am and 12:00pm to visit the different classes and teachers.
