Dutch Quarter, Sint Maarten – The nation was plunged into mourning on Thursday morning, after learning of the passing of Louis Duzanson.
The former top civil servant, historian, mentor, husband and father, passed away Thursday morning at his home in Dutch Quarter.
He was in his early 70s.
A very quiet, calm and calculated man, the late Duzanson always stood tall amongst men. He was a man of tremendous knowledge, especially in the area of governmental affairs.
In the absence of internet back then, our news room could always count on the decease for his expert opinion regarding various functions in government. The late Louis Duzanson was the father of our colleague News Caster, De’Angelo Duzanson.
Our condolences to the family.
