SYNOPSIS:
A dry slot is expected over the local area, lowering chances of shower activity. However, by early Sunday another surge of moisture will once again increase the possibility of heavy showers. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding, rock falls and landslides are advised to be vigilant and/or avoid these areas whenever possible. As a result, a heavy rainfall watch is in effect for St. Maarten until Sunday.
Seas will peak near 6 feet during the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
