The 2021 Pony Baseball / Softball Inc. Caribbean Zone Meeting was recently held in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic. The countries that attended were Aruba, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Bonaire, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Ecuador, St. Maarten and host Dominican Republic. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Bahamas delegates were unable to attend. Attendees from St. Maarten /St. Martin were Mrs. Nadia Brown and Mr. Gabriel Brown.
The following countries that have been selected to host the 2022 Caribbean Zone Tournaments are Bonaire (9-10 years) – Dominican Republic (11-12 years) – Puerto Rico (13-14 years) and Colombia (15-16 years), while Ecuador – Colombia and Aruba have been elected to attend the World Series directly.
PONY Baseball/Softball has been steadily growing in the Dutch Caribbean Islands, starting in St. Maarten and branching out to the other islands. A huge increase has also been noted in attendees over the past years as more Caribbean islands have affiliated with Pony Baseball/Softball Inc.
Next year’s meeting is scheduled for Panama City, Panama.
