St. Peters– On Saturday June 1, 2019 The Pantophlet Villa Foundation is hosting its second annual memorial lecture in honor of its founder, the late Ms. Patricia J.A. Pantophlet.
The lecture will be held at the Rupert Maynard Community Center, St. Peters from 6pm-9pm. The keynote address on “Reimagining the future of education on St. Maarten” will be delivered by local author and educator, Mr. Kenneth Cook.
Furthermore, as part of its “Help A Parent” project, financial grants will be awarded to the Director of St. Joseph School on behalf of a number of parents that face financial difficulties.
The financial grant covers: the parental contribution, school uniforms, shoes and hair grooming. The late Ms. Patricia J.A. Pantophlet left was a social activist, humanitarian and the former President of the WICSU/PSU Union. She is most known for championing the cause of workers and vulnerable groups in our society.
The late Ms. Patricia J.A. Pantophlet suffered from Lupus for several years and entered into eternal glory in August 2014.
