PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – On Saturday, May 4th, Omni Lake B.V launched their Tax Express Service. Every Saturday in May from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, the firm is offering affordable tax preparation services at the John Larmonie Center in Philipsburg.
Persons needing help with their tax preparation can avoid long lines as Omni Lake B.V’s Tax Express Service will process income tax returns, this includes on-site assistance, document drop off and stamping at the Sint Maarten Tax Administration. Clients can also choose to drop off their various documents at the John Larmonie Center and then collect the completed paperwork on the following Saturday or have them delivered to their desired location.
Daisiray Lake, manager of the new financial firm, said that the idea for its Tax Express Service came about after a tax consultation with Ms. D. Deprovil. Lake also noticed the community’s need for affordable and accessible tax assistance. “Since most people work during the weekday, having the event on a Saturday was an obvious choice,” said both ladies.
Omni Lake B.V hopes to raise awareness about filing taxes through this initiative. “Many people remain in doubt of the process and don’t even know what kind of things they are allowed to declare on their tax forms. This is why in addition to helping process tax forms, there will also be a free consultation with their tax expert if needed,” said Lake.
