PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Through a series of commercials, NV Gebe is hoping to educate residents as it pertains to the company and its objectives, which has as one of its goals, to serve the community of Sint Maarten optimally. Against this backdrop, the company held a commercial launch on Friday, January 22nd.
During the event, which took place Friday afternoon in the customer area of the company, the enormous contribution to the electricity and water distribution of NV Gebe by former Managing Directors and or Chief Executive Officers was highlighted.
Those persons recognized included among others, the late Engr. Julius Lambert and the late Engr. William Brooks.
The Honorable Minister of VROMI who is also the shareholder representative of NV Gebe, Egbert J. Doran as well as members of the supervisory board of the company was also on hand for the occasion.
The interim Managing Director at NV Gebe is Dr. Sharine Daniel. Whilst speaking at the commercial launch ceremony, she explained why they were working towards enhancing their transparency.
“One of NV Gebe’s short term goals is to enhance transparency,” she said. The idea, according to her, is to inform the public more.
She remarked: “This commercial represents 241+ employees that are not only striving for greatness, but also for professionalism as we are heading towards operational excellence.”
The company has also adopted a motto she said: “What we are today and what we continue to do today will always be better than what we were or what we continued to do yesterday.”
