Madame Estate, Philipsburg – Themed “We are One”, the National Alliance successfully hosted its party congress at the weekend. Held at the Aleeze Convention Center and Event Hall on Sunday, June 25th, the assembly attracted many persons coming from a cross section of the Sint Maarten community, including several curious observers.
Persons to the congress also had the opportunity to hear from the leadership of the political organization about their plans in the area of continuous development for Sint Maarten and its inhabitants. During the event, which had as guest speaker Leopold Merrick and motivational speaker, Darin “King Vers” Hodge, some of the candidates to run on the slate of the political party in the upcoming parliamentary elections were also introduced to attendees.
During the National Alliance congress held at the weekend held under the theme “We are One”, the various Ministers representing the political party in the Council of Ministers highlighted some of their successes during this governing term. They did so, while presenting their report of achievement to the many persons in attendance for the congress, which took place at the Aleeze Convention Center and Event Hall in Madame Estate on Sunday, June 25th.
One of the pressing matters that the Honorable Minister of Justice, Anna E. Richardson had to deal with, was the issue of the function book for Justice workers.
The Honorable Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport is drs. Rodolphe Samuel. Speaking at the congress over the weekend and in highlighting some of the Ministry’s achievements under his watch, he specifically referenced the law on higher education, which is currently at Parliament for debate.
The ECYS Minister also expounded on the significance of education for all.
