GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces that road works activities will be carried out on May 22, 23 and 24 in the vicinity of the new Texaco Gas Station and the Round-a-bout Union road/Causeway.
The road work activities will start on Wednesday, May 22 at 8.00PM to 5.00AM; these works will continue on May 23 and 24. These works will be carried out by Windward Roads.
The works entail the installation of and extension of concrete divider curbs that would regulate the traffic flow in and out of the gas station on both the Union road and the Causeway road. The road works on the Union roadside will be carried out during the evening hours as specified while those on the Causeway road near the round-a-bout will be carried out during the daytime. These road works are part of the already approved Building Permit.
Motorists are advised to pay close attention as workmen and equipment will be busy along this part of the road network.
The public and motorists are advised that tampering by removing barricades or any Government property is punishable by law.
Ministry VROMI apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
