PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Minister of Public Health Emil Lee shares words of appreciation to all nurses in honor of Nurses week and upcoming Nurses Day on May 12:
“The public health system is driven and carried by our nurses. These nurses are involved in our entire health care system. Not only do nurses deliver health care to patients but they are also represented in management positions and policy making. Many may not know this, but both my parents are doctors and I have grown up in a medical environment. Throughout my life, I have seen the positive impact that nurses have on the lives of patients and I have always been very impressed by this. Thank you to all the nurses in our community, in all of the levels of our health care system. You are appreciated by the country.”
