SYNOPSIS:
Instability due to a mid to upper level trough along with available moisture in the atmosphere will result in showers and possible thunderstorms across the region today. The strong Atlantic high pressure system will maintain vigorous winds and rough seas through the day. As a relatively drier and more stable atmosphere develops, improved weather conditions are expected towards the end of the forecast period.
Sea conditions will continue to be rough and peak at 13 feet through today. As a result, a small craft warning remains in effect. Sea bathers and small craft operators are advised to avoid open waters and persons while interests along the coast should exercise extreme caution.
