THE HAGUE – The navy ship Zr. Ms. Karel Doorman left for the Caribbean yesterday, partly to support the health care system in the Dutch Caribbean islands.
The ship will be crossing the Atlantic Ocean for eleven days. The crew has been quarantined in advance. It is not the first time that Defense has sent aid to the Caribbean in connection with the corona crisis.
Last weekend, a mobile hospital was delivered on Sint Maarten and several IC units for the ABC islands.
