PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The suspects in the “Pompei” investigation – brothel owner Etienne “Tochi” Meyers and manager Dulcia Florentina were acquitted on Wednesday of the charges brought against them by the OM.
The suspects Meyers and Florentina were arrested in 2017 in connection with alleged illegal possession of firearms, human trafficking, illegal employment and human smuggling.
At the time of their detention, the OM also seized several items as well. Those have since been auctioned off and effort to reclaim those have already started.
It is for this reason, the lawyer representing the two individual, Cor Merx has already fired off a letter to the Prosecutor’s Office regarding compensation.
