SUCKER GARDEN, Sint Maarten – Police are currently investigating a home invasion. The incident took place on the Arch Road in Sucker Garden at around 10:15 pm on Friday, when two men, one armed with a hand gun entered the home of a lady.
According to reports, upon gaining access to the house which was at the time occupied by the woman, the bandits proceeded to ram sack the home in search of valuables.
When they did not success in finding any, they then turned to the occupant of the house and demanded that she hand over her money.
However, according to reports, the victim did not comply, as she was not in the possession of any cash.
This seemingly angered the bandits which led to one of them ill treating the female with the butt of the gun. After committing the act, the two thieves left the scene. Paramedics were called to the scene and treated the victim for injuries she sustained during the fracas.
She has since filed a complaint with the Robbery Unit of KPSM, who has started an official investigation into the crime.
