ORANJESTAD – Aruba confirms its first coronavirus related death today. The Aruba media indicates that it is a 79-year-old man, but this has not been independently confirmed by Curaçao Chronicle. According to local media, the patient was not in intensive care but in an ordinary room in the hospital.
In Aruba, 1154 people have been tested for infection. A total of 92 individuals were found to be positive, 32 of them have already recovered. 114 people are quarantined. A curfew was instituted on March 21 to limit dispersion as much as possible.
