GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) an executing department of the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labour, in connection with World Breastfeeding Week, which is from August 1-7, CPS has launched a competition in search of breastfeeding photos.
This is the fourth annual breastfeeding photo competition that CPS has organized. The goal of the competition is to enhance the beauty surrounding breastfeeding, and to encourage mothers and enlighten them about the importance of breastfeeding.
The deadline for submission of photos is August 14. Photo’s should be submitted to the following email: sxmyouthhealthcare@gmail.com
The participants should include the following information along with their submission in their email: Name; Telephone number; Description of photo and why you chose to breastfeed; One image of you and your baby breastfeeding.
Rules for submission: Photographs must not be older than two-years; Pictures must be submitted by the mother or partner; Watermarks are not acceptable; Pictures submitted after August 14, 2019 will be disqualified; Pictures will be judged

The 2019 theme of World Breastfeeding Week is “Empower Parents, Enable Breastfeeding.” This international theme was chosen to be inclusive of all types of parents in today’s world with the focus on supporting both parents to be empowered which is vital in order to realize their breastfeeding goals.
