WILLEMSTAD – Today, the examining magistrate ruled in favor of the request of the public prosecution to keep Robbie dos Santos in custody for another 60 days. The case was already presented yesterday, but the judge ruled today on the request of the public prosecutor.
The lottery king was arrested on November 18 on suspicion of involvement in the murder of Helmin Wiels in 2013. Dos Santos was arrested in this case in 2014, but there was not enough evidence against him, and the prosecution had to let him go.
The lawyer representing Dos Santos will appeal this decision.
