WILLEMSTAD – A five-year prison sentence has been demanded against a soldier suspected of drug trafficking. The treatment of the case took place yesterday in the Netherlands where the prosecutor announced the claim.
The 23-year-old man from Haarlem was arrested in Curaçao in September because there were 11 kilos of cocaine in his backpack aboard a naval ship. The ship was searched, but nothing more was found on Curaçao. Upon arrival in the Netherlands, another 11 kilos were found.
His fingerprints were on the bag that contained the drugs. The ruling is on March 2.
