SYNOPSIS:
Available moisture and instability in the wake of tropical storm Isaias will cause cloudy periods, isolated showers and possible thunderstorms across the local area. Residents and users of areas prone to flooding should continue to be vigilant.
Sea are subsiding but expected to peak near 10 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution.

SPECIAL FEATURE:
At 11:00 AM (15:00 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Isaias was located near latitude 18.1 North, longitude 68.9 West or about 380 miles west of St. Maarten. The system is moving toward the northwest (away from St. Maarten) near 20 mph (31 km/h). A west northwest to northwest motion with some decrease in forward speed is expected over the next few days. On this forecast track, the center of Isaias will move over Hispaniola today. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
A broad area of low pressure located a few hundred miles south-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands have become more concentrated this morning. Some development of this system is possible during the next day or two before environmental conditions become unfavorable.
