PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – “I would like to inform the public of Sint Maarten that the trip to the Netherlands of our scholarship recipients is progressing well,” the Honorable Minister in charge of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, drs. Rodolphe Samuel said at a press conference on Wednesday.
The 27 study financing recipients arrived safe and stayed in a hotel where they were able to rest and be briefed about the program of the guidance counselors in the Netherlands. According to the ECYS Minister, the students will be guided by their guidance counselor and or buddy, for the first and second years of their studies.
“Today the students will be brought to the place of residence and will receive assistance from the guidance counselors as to registration and the opening of a bank account,” Minister Samuel said.
