HOLLAND – Some 900 dead pigs were found in a barn in Winterswijk on Thursday morning, the police said on Twitter. The carcasses are being removed and the Dutch food and consumer product safety authority NVWA is investigating.
The pigs were found at a company on Goorweg on the outskirts of Winterswijk, according to Tubantia. The police went to check the barn after a report, according to De Gelderlander.
How the pigs died is still being investigated. As far as is known, no arrests were made.
