WILLEMSTAD – At the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC), an employee has been tested positive for COVID-19. CMC has taken several strict measures in accordance with the protocols of the Hygiene and Prevention department. In the meantime, the so-called “contact tracing” takes place, in which every person who has been in contact with the employee in recent days is tested. For any person suspected of being infected with COVID-19, the measures will be taken in accordance with the applicable COVID-19 protocol.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough or fatigue, do not go to the hospital, but call your doctor immediately.
All consultation appointments that have already been scheduled will take place, however taking into account the applicable ‘social-distancing’ measures;
The entrances are only the west entrance (next to KFC) and the entrance via the parking garage;
In case of an emergency, you can use the north entrance (Hamelbergweg / Rodeweg);
There is strict control of whether you actually have an appointment or whether you are visiting the hospital in connection with an emergency;
If you have to come to the hospital and you suffer from a high fever, cough or fatigue, wearing a mouth mask is mandatory;
At the entrance, 3 questions will be asked in connection with the Covid-19 protocol;
Visiting the sick is currently not allowed until further notice;
Everyone must adhere to the rules of social distance;
They must be present 30 minutes before the start of the appointment, because the new rules in force must be taken into account.
Should more information become available, CMC will communicate it through all of its channels.
The well-being and safety of our staff, patients and their families remain CMC’s top priority. We thank you for your understanding and trust during these difficult times.
