PHILIPSBURG, WILLEMSTAD – Winair informs its customers that effective today July 14, 2020, it discontinues its services to Curaçao and Aruba. This was confirmed by the representative of the company in Curaçao. The St. Maarten airlines cites the effects of COVID-19 crisis which causes negative consequences on the regional population.
“Winair can no longer support flights to Aruba and Curaçao due to extremely low load factors on their aircraft,” the airline announced.
As Winair continues to move forward in the region cognizant of the uncertainty in the historic markets remains a challenge. Winair announced that it will continue to serve Saba, Statia, St. Barth and Antigua from their hub in St. Maarten.
