SYNOPSIS:
A weakening of the pressure gradient will result in reduced winds and subsiding seas across the region. Patches of clouds transported across St. Maarten is expected to trigger occasional, isolated showers. An influx of Saharan dust is expected during this forecast period. Person with allergies and respiratory illnesses should take the necessary precautions.
Marine conditions are improving; however, a small craft advisory remains in effect for St. Maarten until this evening. Seas will peak up to 8 feet today. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
