The Atlantic high-pressure ridge continues to support a stable atmosphere, restricting precipitation across the region. Meanwhile, the tightening of the pressure gradient will account for increasing winds over the next few days.
Long period northeasterly swells and increasing winds will keep marine conditions elevated over the next few days. Consequently, high surf and small craft advisories will remain in effect for St. Maarten until further notice. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue exercising caution.
