The Atlantic high pressure ridge will maintain a relatively stable atmosphere along with mostly gentle winds through this forecast period.
Seas are expected to gradually deteriorate and peak at 8 feet. Small craft operators and seas bathers should exercise caution.

At 11:00 am Hurricane Teddy was located about 890 miles east southeast of St. Maarten and could become a major hurricane by late tonight. However, it is expected to pass at a safe distance from the island chain. Tropical storm Vicky is expected to become a tropical depression on Thursday.
These systems are not expected to pose a direct threat to St. Maarten.
An area of disturbed weather located over the eastern Tropical Atlantic has a high (70%) chance of formation through the next 5 days.
