SYNOPSIS:
Lingering moisture associated with a recent weak tropical wave will result in cloudy periods and possible isolated showers, mainly during the early part of this forecast period. Meanwhile, a loose pressure gradient due to the weakened Atlantic high-pressure system will maintain light to gentle winds across the region.
Seas will remain slight to moderate during the next few days.

SPECIAL FEATURE:
As of 5:00am, Tropical Storm Paulette was located about 1330 miles east of St. Maarten. On its current path, this system is expected to pass north of the island towards the end of the week and not expected to pose a direct threat to St. Maarten.
Tropical Storm Rene was located about 2520 miles east-southeast of St. Maarten.
It is expected to become a hurricane in the next day or two. However, Tropical Storm Rene is not expected to pose a threat to St. Maarten.
