Public Prosecutor’s Office considering to appeal Colade verdict

The verdict in the Colade case was announced on November 28th, 208.
The main suspect R.L. was sentenced to a conditional 12 month prison sentence, three years’ probation, a fine of NAf.300.0000 and a 5 year band from being a civil servant.
The Colade investigation concerned the embezzlement of public funds. A total four accused were tried and convicted.
F.B. and E.F. were sentenced to 3 months conditional prison time, 3 years’ probation and a fine of NAf.50.000. A legal entity was also fined NAf.50.000.
A number of charges were acquitted, such as the formation of a criminal organization and money laundering.
