COLE BAY, St. Maarten – During an official launch ceremony held on Wednesday, November 7th, Motorworld presented the new addition to the prestigious line-up of auto brand models, which now includes ISUZU “Trucks for Life.”
“In today’s ever-changing world, what counts is performance. Isuzu Trucks represent outstanding power, torque, durability and fuel efficiency on the roadways, as well as the versatility to handle the commercial needs of our customers,” shares Tariq Amjad, Managing Director of Motorworld. “It is with this in consideration that we decided to work towards becoming the official dealership of Isuzu Trucks, a global brand world-renowned for the best commercial vehicles. It was a no brainer for us. The trust and loyalty of our valued customers has solidified our commitment to the local and regional markets. Therefore, we will continue to offer new brands, such as Isuzu, quality products, technologies, programs and promotions to ensure an exceptional ownership experience, as we work tirelessly to maintain our standing as a leader in the auto and commercial truck industry.”
At the core of Isuzu’s business model is the drive to shape the way companies think about building a better world. With the local outreach campaign themed: “Let’s Rebuild SXM” both Isuzu and Motorworld pledge to work together towards providing the essential truck models required for the redevelopment of St. Maarten/St. Martin and the regional islands from the devastation caused by the recent hurricanes, and beyond.
Representing the Ministry of VROMI, the Honorable Minister Hugh C. de Weever touched on the importance of companies like Isuzu making the necessary investments into the development of the economy and infrastructure of St. Martin.
Mr. Jun Narahashi, Executive Vice President of Isuzu Motors America stated: “We are always very happy to see Isuzu trucks working for the customer’s business expansion and contributing to the society in each market. We, Isuzu Motors, have a corporate message and commitment to society. That is: Isuzu is dedicated to contributing to making people’s lives better by supporting customers.”
Founded in 1916, Isuzu Motors has the longest history of any Japanese vehicle manufacturer. Throughout the years of operation, they have consistently focused on “creation without compromise” in the process of building Isuzu into the company it is today. Isuzu products now benefit people in over 120 countries globally. Isuzu strives to gain the trust of each and every person around the world, bringing reliability to every country. This major aspect now also incorporates St. Maarten/St. Martin, which is relatively small, as compared to other countries, but makes a huge impact for this and future generations.
One of the main reasons for Isuzu’s success, is that product innovations incorporate the views and standpoint of customers, providing optimal products and services tailored to customers’ needs so that Isuzu trucks are always adequately suited for the various commercial and transportation needs, with reliable technologies that keep them up and running. Isuzu’s manufacturers listen to feedback from customers- what they like and don’t like, what they need- and use this information to continuously improve their products.
Mr. Kazutaka Watanabe, Isuzu Sales Executive Manager touched on the details of Isuzu’s commitment to providing top quality vehicles, products, and services, as well as the uncompromising quality of Isuzu’s heritage. Quality comes first. For the peace of mind of customers around the world, the Manufacturing Division executes a strict quality control system. The chassis and engine of a vehicle consists of over 10,000 parts. To prevent any defects, Isuzu has established a system of screening checkpoints to ensure that defective parts are not passed to the next process. Isuzu has instilled the concept of guaranteed quality among line staff, ensuring that the job performed at each manufacturing step conforms 100% to quality standards. In addition, specialized line inspectors are watching at key sections to support the process of quality management, which is capped by a rigorous final inspection. Isuzu trucks have an umatched 12-15 year life cycle, which can be even longer depending on proper maintenance of the trucks, which is why Isuzu’s slogan is “Trucks for Life.”
As the authorized dealership, Motorworld will be carrying the Isuzu N-Series Light Duty trucks, with the Isuzu NPR Reward Dump and NPR Cargo Flat Bed trucks currently available. The N-Series started in 1959 and since inception has sold well over 5 million of these trucks worldwide. With the exception of only one year, Isuzu takes pride in being the best selling truck in Japan since 1970. In the USA, it has been the best selling truck since 1986. “Hopefully from 2019, it will be the best selling truck in St. Maarten!” declared Amjad. Motorworld will also be carrying the QKR Cargo Flatbed, which is smaller than the NPR. It is scheduled to arrive in December.
Motorworld is also the official authorized retailer for genuine Isuzu Parts and Service, and the After Sales team, that is, the parts and service team, have also been extensively trained. The local technicians have been certified and are extremely capable of servicing and repairing Isuzu trucks better than anyone else in this part of the Caribbean. In addition, investments have been made into securing all the necessary tools to ensure that the repairs are done effectively and efficiently. Genuine Isuzu parts are supplied from Isuzu America direct to Motorworld. Therefore, the shipment of any parts not in stock can be done very expeditiously, with minimal downtime, should something go wrong with an Isuzu truck that was either pre-owned our purchased through Motorworld.
Mr. Imran McSood Amjad, Chairman of the Motorworld Group Board of Directors, shared closing remarks with highlights of the long-term reliability of Isuzu trucks, and also, pledged his unwavering support towards the redevelopment of the island. “ISUZU’s corporate mission statement means ‘the best,’ which is evidenced by a 100-year history of proven reliability of its commercial vehicles. This is similar to an enduring marriage whereby, earning and maintaining the commitment and loyalty of our valued customers means everything to us at Motorworld. We remain dedicated to reinvesting back into the local community with complete confidence in the resilience of the country. We are very happy to now be able to provide you with the best trucks in the world, in order to continue to work together to rebuild and restore a strong community.” shares Amjad.
