PHILIPSBURG - This year is the 28th anniversary of theannual novena in honor of our lady of La Ssalette. The novena will start the 10th of September and will continue until September 19th.

PHILIPSBURG - The Board of the Windward Islands Civil Servants Union / Private Sector Union (WICSU/PSU) hereby informs its members of a very important General Membership Meeting to be held Tuesday September 21st at the Union headquarters at #17 Walter Nisbeth Road, beginning at 5: 30pm.

On Friday September 17th, the Library will be open from 9 a.m to 12.30 p.m. However we will be closed in the afternoon due to election.

On Saturday September 18th, 2010 we will be open at our regular hours 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PHILIPSBURG - Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), historians, cultural icons, monument preservationists, individuals, and other entities who are interested in participating in a cultural exchange program in the area of architecture can make their interests known by contacting the number below.

PHILIPSBURG - As of September 1, the Baby Clinic services have been integrated within the Government public health service and now fall under Collective Preventive Services (CPS), Youth Health Care.

PHILIPSBURG - Your Babies and Toddlers age 0 to 4 are invited to another story time. As you know story time is every second Thursday in the month.

PHILIPSBURG - Due to the reparation of the roof the Philipsburg Jubilee Library was closed to the public.

PHILIPSBURG - On Friday and Saturday our Technical Department will be working in the Cay Hill, AJC Browers Rd. and Belair area. On Monday September 6th, 2010 they will be working on service calls in  Middle Region and  Dutch Quarter

For subscribers in these areas that do not have cable TV service and have not yet reported this, please call the office at 542-4361. You can call daily up to 10 pm to report outages.

PHILIPSBURG - Our Technical Department is still making assessments of the damages on the Cable TV network. Upgraded areas: Philipsburg, Fort William, Madame Estate, South Reward, Ebenezer, St. John, Saunders, Retreat, St. Peters, Belvedere, Arch Road, and parts of Sucker Garden's Cable TV and CableNet (internet) service were not interrupted with the passing of Hurricane Earl providing there was electricity.

PHILIPSBURG, Airport - The Princess Juliana International Airport announced on Tuesday that it is open for business under normal operations.

According to a press release from the airport, a number of airlines have confirmed that they will be operating as of Tuesday August 31 2010.

However, passengers are urged to contact their respective airlines directly for flight details.
