The economy of St. Maarten is growing rapidly. Compared to Curacao which has a larger economy, the islands economic performance is much better. So says the president of the central bank Dr. Emsley Tromp.


The Central Bank of the Netherlands Antilles has decided that as of 20 March 2008 its official interest tariff will be reduced. The tariffs will be reduced by a half percent of 3.25% to 2.75%.
