AIRPORT ROAD, St. Maarten – On February 24th 2017, the Gwendoline van Putten School of St. Eustatius organized their second annual Career Fair. It was organized with the objective to provide the students with meaningful information that will enhance their career readiness by providing them with the tools and pathways for their future.

As the purpose of this fair was to provide students the opportunity to learn more about higher education and careers they might be interesed in, the Career Guidance Counselor Eldrigh Merkman-Pompier approached WINAIR to particpate and showcase career opportunities and requirements within our organization.

First Officer Timothy Vaseur greeted many enthousiatic students at the WINAIR booth, answered a lot of interesting questions and was trending topic on Instagram for some time.

We took the opportunity to explain to the students and teachers the many career options within WINAIR! From Customer Service to Aircraft Maintenance, all departments are invaluable links needed to operate a full service airline company. Students were also provide with a brochure outlining various career and job options and requerments.

During the fair the students could win a day at WINAIR. They had to answer a questionaire, and tell us why they are motivated to work at WINAIR. We got over a hundred filled in forms and read many beautiful motivations. There only can be one winner, we can tell you that 14-year old Madelin Courtar is the lucky one!

The Gwendoline van Putten School was delighted with the professionalism and enthousiasm of all the participating companies in St. Eustatius and St. Maarten and hopes to see continued support for next years Career Fair.
