St. Maarten Cricket Association elects new board Thursday

PHILIPSBURG - The St.Maarten Cricket Association has a new board.

The St. Maarten Cricket Association held its general meeting on Thursday morning, at which time, a new board was elected.

Heading the board is Imran Mcsood, who returned as chairman and Nathaniel Walters, who was elected as president.

Other persons elected to the board are Kern Saunders as secretary and R Kay, who was re-elected as treasurer.

The board also has as its ordinary members Emmanuel "Spoony" Stapleton, former president Michael Teixeira, Richie Singh and Shawn May, who will also be serving as assistant secretary.

It is now expected that the new board will be meeting sometime today, at which time, the up-coming tournament will be discussed.
