PHILIPSBURG - MHF is a secondary health care provider; this means that all clients are referred to our care by a medical doctor. We offer more than clinical visits to our clients.
MHF offers psychiatric and psychological consultations, daily activities at our center and also Psychiatric Home Health Care unit (Ambulant Care) MHF recently purchased a terrain- sturdy vehicle, but is still in need of a second one.
These vehicles will be primarily used by our PHHC. Our nurses go out into the community offering services to those who are home bound or unable to come to the clinic due to other reasons.
Also on our list of needs for MHF in 2010 is the need for contributors and/ or sponsors for the educational upgrading of MHF's staff. Our staff is predominantly young and local and has great need for more education in Psychiatric care so we can continue to provide quality care to our clients.
MHF is kindly asking potential contributors/ sponsors to contact us at their earliest convenience to gather more information on our educational goals and budget for 2010.
Invitation: One of our initiatives to raise funds for MHF and primarily to give our clients a sense of purpose, responsibility and worth, is our candle and soap making sales.
Our clients, under the supervision of our staff, make different sizes, shapes and colors to suit every-one's needs. We also take orders, if what we have isn't what you are looking for. We invite the general public to stop in or call us during regular working hours to place orders.
MHF is also extending an invitation to our local elementary and secondary schools to contact us about coming into the schools to work with or talk to the students about Mental Health issues that can and do affect our people. We will be more than pleased to accept such invitations.
