Track and Field Coach attacked in Middle Region

PHILIPSBURG - Athlete and track and Field Coach Abdul Watley was attacked by an unknown person early on Wednesday morning.

Watley was brought to the St. Maarten Medical Center at 12:50am for treatment after suffering a wound to the back of his head.

The extent of his injuries are not known but there were other scars on his limbs that were evident during his transportation to the St. Maarten Medical Center on Wednesday morning.

Coach Watley who recently returned from Curacao where he represented the island in a Track and Field event, was walking on his way home in the Middle Region area when the attack occurred.

The police are now conducting an investigation.

And what will happen, the police will arrest the suspect. He/she will get lawyer

And they will be back on the road in no time.
I am
sorry for what happened to the coach and I wish him a safe recovery.
But on SXM
with this justice system I can fairly say "That crime does pay"

suspects.

After all that is going on in the political arena, will there still be a March
1st deadline to clean up St. Maarten? If the answer is Yes, people who love Sxm
should brase themselves for hard times during this clean up campaign. Dont go
about cursing the police/authorities for doing their work may it be to your
dislike once it is within the law, pull aside and hush your mouth.
