Curacao Queen of Tumba visits St. Maarten Print E-mail

PHILIPSBURG - The three time Queen of Tumba, Elia Isenia, visited the island of St. Maarten over the week-end on a short stop-over.

Whilst here she performed her winning song at the ABC Triple SSS Bar which is located in St Peters.

Elia express her joy about being on St. Maarten at this time, noting that its the time of the year when Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire is celebrating there carnival.

This past Sunday the big Parade was held on Curacao where Elia performed her winning song "mi peublo a manda mi ".

This year was the 40th year celebration of Curacao Carnival.

This past Sunday was the Children Parade on Curacao, Aruba & Bonaire. It is
Sunday upcoming, February 14th 2010 (Valentines Day) will be the Grand Parade on
Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and even French St. Martin.

What a wonderful way to start building a relationship between the people of
Curacao and St Martin... there are definitey a lot of "Swas" living on
both side of the island... and well you aint a real St. Maartener if you aint
got roots somewhere in Curacao and vice versa
