PHILIPSBURG - Awareness and Evaluation is the theme for the 19th annual Black History Celebration (BHC) according to press release coming from the Conscious Lyrics Foundation (CLF).

The jam packed program of events and activities centered around the BHC, for 2010 will include Daily reading on SOS Radio 95.9 FM and Radio Soualiga 99.9 FM, an exhibition at the Artist’s Corner at the Collectivity of St. Martin, lectures at the various schools of St. Martin, a quiz with St. Martin’s high school students, a quiz for the general public of St. Martin coordinated by CLF and the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, a lecture by Rueben J. Thompson on the state of St. Martin’s environment, and the 19 annual BHC lecture on February 27, will culminate the month long celebration.

The annual Black History Celebration quiz feature’s eight personalities for which the participant have to name and write a short biography (30 words) about each of them.

The Winners will receive exciting prizes at the end of the BHC, February 27, 2010 at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
