PHILIPSBURG - Over sixteen thousand tourist made their way off six cruise ships on Wednesday at the St. Maarten port.

Chief Operating Officer of the St. Maarten Harbour Group of Companies Keith Franka stated on Wednesday that it was an historic day for St. Maarten and the harbour.

It was the first time that the two cruise piers of the harbour were fully occupied by cruise ships including the world's largest cruise liner, the Oasis of the Seas which docks every Wednesday.

It can be expected that Wednesdays conditions will repeat it self at least four times for the remainder of the year.

As we can now hear via PodCast, Mr. Franka expressed a personal thank you for all of the players involved in making the simultaneous visit of the six ships a success.
