Monday is Postulation day for final Federal Election |

PHILIPSBURG - Monday November 23rd 2009 is Postulation Day for next years Parliamentary election, expected to be the last election for the Parliament of the Netherlands Antilles.
www.sxmislandtime.com has learnt that the various political parties, including the National Alliance and the Democratic Party, will be presenting a list of candidates to contest the January 22nd parliamentary elections.
On the island territory of Curacao, some 9 political parties have confirmed that they will be contesting the parliamentary elections.
The People’s Progressive Alliance of which former council woman Gracita Arrindell is the leader will also be presenting a list of candidates today.
We have learnt that the list of candidates for the PPA, DP and the NA have already been finalized however they are being kept a close secret by the parties.
Sources within both the NA and the DP say that their respective list is a mixture of youth and experience. This has been the case with past list from the various political parties.
We have also learnt that that both the NA and the DP, will submit their list at 3pm on Monday November 23rd 2009. Founder of the PPA, Don Hughes told PJD2 Radio on Sunday that the party will definitely be going to the polls on January 22nd next year.
