WILLEMSTAD – Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath has announced that there will be a curfew in Curaçao from Thursday. Between 11 pm and 5 am you are not allowed to be on the street without an exemption.
In addition, no more than four people may be together in a public space. Truk ‘i pans (BBQ stands) can open from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Restaurants, catering establishments and shops must close at 10 p.m. starting this Thursday. Furthermore, a maximum of 50 percent of the capacity may be used.
Sporting events may continue, but only without an audience.
Schools may only have 25 students per class from group 8 and higher. But schools have one week to arrange this.
Gyms can also have a maximum number of 25 people.
This is all part of the measures in phase 3, which has now entered into force.
The measures apply for at least the next three weeks. Rhuggenaath emphasizes that he hopes that this can prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
