WILLEMSTAD – The Coast Guard announced on Monday evening that its Dash plane was recently involved in an international operation in which a drug boat was successfully intercepted.
About 430 kilos of drugs were intercepted in the open sea action-packed in 21 bales. Little further details were given about the interception.
In addition to operations on the open sea, the Coast Guard also remains vigilant for drug shipments and undocumented migrants attempting to reach the islands illegally.
The intensive surveillance of the coastlines will be continued in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, with the station vessel being used for coastguard patrols, the Coast Guard announced.
